Water Reaching The Holes Of A Piercing During Ghusl

Question

What is the ruling with regard to Ghusl and piercings? Must the water go through the holes?

Answer

If the piercing is tight, one should move the earrings, nose rings, etc. so that the water reaches in the holes.

If there are no earrings in the piercing, then it will be necessary to make the water reach the holes by merely rubbing water over the holes; however, it is unnecessary to insert anything i.e. stick, needles, etc. in the holes to open them.
