Duaas In The Janaazah Salaah

Question

If the Imaam recited the duas in Janaaza in the incorrect order, what should be done?  

  1. After the 2nd takbeer, he recited the Dua and after the 3rd takbeer, he recited Durood Ibraaheem. If he realized this while reciting them…?
  2. He only realized after theJanaaza salaat was over? 

Answer

The Janaazah Salah will be valid because the condition for the Janaazah Salah to be valid is to say four Takbeeraat (Allahu Akbar) and Qiyaam (to stand). Therefore, if a person forgets or changes the sequence of the Duaas, this will not nullify his Salaah. However, reading Duaas in the normal recommended sequence is a Sunnah of our beloved Nabi Muhammad ﷺ which should be adhered to.

[1] أ(قوله ثم يكبر تكبيرة ثالثة يدعو فيها لنفسه وللميت وللمسلمين) معناه يدعو لنفسه لكي يغفر له فيستجاب دعاؤه في حق غيره ولأن من سنة الأدعية أن يبدأ فيها بنفسه قال الله تعالى {يقولون ربنا اغفر لنا ولإخواننا} [الحشر: ١٠] {ربنا اغفر لي ولوالدي وللمؤمنين} [إبراهيم: ٤١] {رب اغفر لي ولوالدي ولمن دخل بيتي مؤمنا} [نوح: ٢٨] {رب اغفر لي ولأخي} [الأعراف: ١٥١] وليس فيه دعاء مؤقت وإن تبرك بالمنقول فحسن وقد روي َاَنَّ «النَّبِيَّ – صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ – ‌كَانَ ‌يَقُولُ ‌اللَّهُمَّ ‌اغْفِرْ ‌لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ أَحْيَيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَأَحْيِهِ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَمَنْ تَوَفَّيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَتَوَفَّهُ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ» ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ فِيهِ زِيَادَةٌ: اللَّهُمَّ إنْ كَانَ زَاكِيًا فَزَكِّهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ خَاطِئًا فَاغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَاجْعَلْهُ فِي خَيْرٍ مِمَّا كَانَ فِيهِ وَاجْعَلْهُ خَيْرَ يَوْمٍ جَاءَ عَلَيْهِ. وَهَذَا إذَا كَانَ بَالِغًا عَاقِلًا أَمَّا إذَا كَانَ صَغِيرًا أَوْ مَجْنُونًا فَلْيَقُلْ: اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لَنَا فَرَطًا وَاجْعَلْهُ لَنَا ذُخْرًا وَأَجْرًا وَاجْعَلْهُ لَنَا شَافِعًا مُشَفَّعًا. فَرَطًا أَيْ سَابِقًا مُهَيِّئًا لَنَا مَصَالِحَنَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَذُخْرًا أَيْ خَيْرًا بَاقِيًا وَاجْعَلْهُ لَنَا شَافِعًا مُشَفَّعًا أَيْ مَقْبُولًا شَفَاعَتُهُ… اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِوَالِدَينَا وَلَهُ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَات
