Imaam Making A Mistake In Qiraat Taraweeh

Question

What is the ruling if the Imam does not know Arabic and makes a mistake which changes the meaning completely? Does he only repeat the Qiraat, or does he have to repeat the two Rakats? Does the ruling change if they realise in that Salah time, or if they realize only the next day.

Answer

If the Imam made such a mistake in Qiraa’at which changes the meaning completely and no one corrected him then the Taraweeh Salat will become broken. The rulings regarding its Qadha and Qiraa’at will be the same as those in the following answer: Imaam Making Salaam After One Rakaat In Taraweeh.
