Question
If a person is staying in a Darul Uloom which is more then 77,7km away from his home but comes home every week for one day and then returns to the Darul Uloom, will he be a mussafir for the time he spends in the Darul Uloom which is less than 2 weeks.
Answer
A person who stays in a Darul Uloom which is more than 77,7km away from his home (but goes home every week for one night and then returns to the Darul Uloom), will be regarded as a Musaafir at the Darul Uloom.
However, a person should make an effort to read all his Salaahs with Jamaat in the Masjid, so that the question of Qasr does not even arise. Nevertheless, if it so happens that he has to read Salaah alone, then he will make Qasr.
