Question
We live in a no-Muslim country. I have a business in which we take a plot (land), then develop it and then
sell it. Usually it is a partnership deal. I do it with my partner who is a non -Muslim.
e.g. He invests 50% of money. I invest 50% .The profit is also shared equally (50-50%).The money he invests is of riba (interest). Since he is a non-Muslim his major part of earnings are from giving money on interest (riba) to people. Since in the investment his 50% invested money is of riba ,will it be permissible for me to work in partnership with him or not?
Answer
It is not permissible to deal in partnership with this person and his haram money. You should rather look for a Muslim partner to do business with whose earnings are permissible.
