Question
I will be travelling from Town A to Town B, to Town C, to Town D, to Town E, to Town F and then back to Town A. In this journey, I will be travelling more than 48 miles but will stay within the 48 miles radius. Will I be regarded as a traveller?
All of these areas are within the 48 miles radius.
Do we consider the distance one travels or the destination one travels to for an individual to qualify as a traveller?
Answer
The total distance travelled (by road) will be taken into consideration in categorizing one as a Musaafir. We are not really aware of the various towns in ______ but we assume that Town A is the starting point of the journey whilst Town F is the terminating point of the journey.
Now, if a person leaves Town A with the intention of travelling to Town F (as the final destination point) but via various other towns (such as Town B, Town C, Town D, etc.), and the total distance travelled from Town A to Town F is 48 miles or more then the person will be considered as a Shari’ee Musaafir.
