Someone suggested to me to enroll for these _____. Are you aware of this online school?
I don’t have the time at the age of 34, married ,and with two kids to studying in a typical classroom environment. So, this seems to be the only alternative.
Answer
We haven’t gone into the details of the Darul Uloom online course. However, very briefly we have glanced at the manner in which lessons are imparted, and we had a look at their home page as well.
We will suffice by stating that the method of learning and teaching adopted by our Akaabireen (elders) is the ideal and most beneficial method of acquiring the knowledge of Deen. Transmitting knowledge over video, displaying of photographs, being seated at a desk and chair is in conformity with western culture, which is certainly against the teachings of our Akaabireen.
If you are keen on acquiring Deeni knowledge but do not have the time to do so due to commitments, we suggest that you study one Kitaab at a time under a local Aalim (that subscribes to the way of our Akaabireen) for 30-60 min daily, and thereafter move onto the next Kitaab, and so forth. In this way, you will not only acquire beneficial knowledge but the Noor of knowledge as well.
