Written Talaaq In The Present Tense

Question

If a person writes down on a paper that I am giving my wife one talaaq does the talaaq count?

Answer

If a person writes, “I am giving my wife one Talaaq” (using the present tense), then one Talaaq-e-Raj’ee will take place.
